Is It Possible To Build Muscle At Home?

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Exercising in a regular gym allows you access to all sorts of new and more sorts of equipment, you can gain professional advice more easily too, plus it is probably going to be much less dangerous. However working out in a gym can be quite annoying at times if you have to que up for a piece of equipment or the other people working out there are not really as motivated as you are and are sat chatting about the latest television series or whatever.

As regards working-out at home, there are many benefits to this: no fee (my favourite), no hassle travelling there and parking, workout with your shirt off, you can play your own music, no queing for equipment and you don’t have to worry about what other people are thinking about you when you are shouting at the bar for motivation.

The negatives are the intial outlay of money at that is required to purchase the equipment although this will likely last a for ages and can be sold again second hand, you may also incur the wrath of your housemates/partner if you use up too much room.

Working-out at home allows you to build muscle mass at your convenience and if you go by the following how to build muscles fastĀ at home guidelines you should not have a problem working-out at home:

1)Find a suitably large space, such as a garage, basement or spare room. The floor needs to be solid so a ground floor is preferable for sure. Good vetilation is going to be useful too. Water proof your garage if that is where you workout as this will stop water making your weights rust.

2) Anything easily damaged should be removed. Ample warning is provided byt youtube where a guy doing barbell curls unfortunately lets his barbell nudge his large fish tank with a barbell just a little too hard! humourous to view unless it is your tank. A permanent location will avoid problems like this, imagine putting a barbell through a plasma tv screen or dropping a weight disc on a laptop computer, not fun.

3) have the following equipment as a minimum: a set of cast iron and free weight dumbbells, weight bench, squat stand, a mat, and a pull-up bar. The selection of home fitness equipment is very good, it looks a little bit, but places high importance that the durability and strength of the equipment is because it held a lot of hammers in the coming years!

4) Set out a decent workout. All the classic mass building exercises can be done with that equipment. Bench-presses, squats, pull-ups, dead lifts are all must have compound exercises which should be made use of followed by movements such as: barbell curls, upright rows, shrugs, shoulder presses, lunges, lateral raises and bent over rows are also good to use.

5) Be conscious of your own safety. You are likely to be working out out on your own, so avoid one rep maximum exercises unsupervised and get a friend to come over and assist if you wan to do some. Always ensure weights are securely locked on to the barbell. most weight benches let you insert a pin at the bottom of your lift when the barbell is at the height slightly above your chest, ensure you insert this as if you cannot make the lift it can take the pressure for you, do the same in the squat stand too.

So, by following the above ‘how to build muscle home guidelines’ you can have a great workout, build heaps of muscle mass and all in the convenience of your own home.

Discover The Secrets To Detoxify The Body The Easy Way At Home

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Detoxify the body is extremely important to maintain health and promote longevity. Through the years of consuming an improper diet, the lack of exercise and the cultivating of bad habits, it’s little surprise that so many are suffering from the diseases of today’s modern lifestyle, diseases that could easily be prevented. Good health means more than just the absence of disease, it means maintaining a healthy body that resists sickness. The body is a marvelous system that can function well into old age when it is given what it needs to stay healthy. Unfortunately, today’s toxic environment and a lifestyle of stress makes it imperative that cleansing of accumulated poisons is done regularly throughout the year. The colon, kidneys and liver are important organs that are often hit hardest from the abuses of lifestyle. Their functioning decreases until the only remedy is through drugs and surgery. Detoxify the body is to remove these harmful substances from the tissues, organs, water and fat stores, in the bloodstream. This is backed up by the excretion via bowels and skin pores. Detoxification neutralizes the unwanted chemicals and eliminates them. A program to reinforce the natural detoxifying process should be able to help the body better cope with the outside environment that is inevitably polluted. When you detoxify, you gain so many benefits because this cleansing process has a huge impact on almost all systems like cardiovascular, nervous, immune, respiratory, reproductive, gastrointestinal, urinary, skin, endocrine, and musculoskeletal. The irritants and the stress of everyday living contribute a lot to a person’s weak shield against uncomfortable symptoms like indigestion, severe headache, sleeplessness, fatigue, and premature aging among others. It can’t be reiterated how important it is to keep the body in pristine condition. This can only be achieved with regular cleansing and maintenance, plus a lifetime of awareness about one’s surroundings. Change your diet from a poor, unhealthy one to a rich, healthy one. A healthy diet includes raw food diet, specifically, fruits and vegetables. There are also certain foods that are known to “super charge” the detox process. Pumpkin seeds and walnuts were used by native americans to cleanse the bowels and detoxify the body. Fish, with is omega 3 fatty acids has been shown to have a positive influence on the body. Green tea is a ancient cure that is very popular today. A natural substitute to coffee and black tea, it is easy to make and easy incorporate into an active lifestyle. For instance, by making changes in the food that you eat and increasing the intake of raw vegetables and fruits in the diet on a regular basis. This cleans the digestive system by decreasing mucoid plague. You will have to eliminate and remove toxins from the body regularly. This will ensure better digestion of foods and its utilization in various processes of the body. You will have to start a proper colon-cleansing program by eliminating the waste from the colon and ultimately from your body. If you clean the blood, lymph system and avoid cleaning the colon, your bowel will remain choked with waste and there is a high possibility of toxins getting recycled and accumulating. You may get prone to diseases such as diarrhea and constipation owing to the remaining waste in the body.

Home Body Detox Super liquids

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

A body detox diet can be a fresh, full, spicy, and delicious feast altogether. What with all the sumptuous fresh fruit salads and vegetable soups, one can easily forget that he or she is actually on a home body detox. However, it is not just all about the solid foods. If there are superfoods, there are superliquids too! Much of the cleansing is really made possible by the liquids that are taken in the body.

So take advantage of a home body detox and don?t worry much about getting diuretic. Surely, it will be to your body?s benefit. It is highly recommended that the liquid detoxification process be implemented in the morning when the body is in its best cleansing mood.

The All-important Water

If you are the type who seems to get regular headaches, then you must also be the type who doesn?t really care much about your water intake. Much of the headaches are really caused by the depleted water level in the body, which could translate to dehydration. In a total body detox however, water plays a very important role as it helps flush out the toxic wastes. As such, the more water you drink, the healthier you become.

If you have to put a big pitcher or container full of water beside you wherever you go then do so as it will encourage you to drink more from time to time. An important reminder though! When it comes to water, it has to be purified. Otherwise, it will defeat the purpose of the whole body detox plan. Do not rely too much on tap water because these days, it can contain bacteria and other harmful substances that you do not know of. So go for distilled water or spring water and you?re good to go.

All-natural Herbal Teas

Next to drinking coffee, drinking herbal tea is a common practice. While it is extremely soothing to drink a hot tea, its natural healing properties have been likewise recognized since the ancient times. These days, herbal teas come in different flavors and are more enjoyed over coffee because of its minimal or non-existent caffeine content.

In particular, herbal colon cleanse teas work to detoxify the organ by breaking down mucoid plaque in the colon walls and then eliminating the wastes. It is also known to strengthen the lower bowel. More importantly, herbal colon cleanse teas give a whole body detox from yeasts, parasites, bacteria and viruses.

All Fruits and Vegetable Cocktails

Watermelon, as the fruit name suggests, has lots of water content. Carefully selected watermelon can be deliciously red and sweet. Watermelon juice is definitely great for body detox as well. With a juice extractor, juice up the watermelon flesh, some of its seeds, and a small portion of the green part right below the rind.

On the other hand, juices that are made from fresh vegetables have numerous health benefits. The multivitamin content in vegetables builds up the body?s resistance against diseases. It also facilitates the metabolic processes and increases the energy levels. Most importantly, vegetable juice helps the body detox system in expelling the toxins from the body.

Detox Cleanser: Home Remedies That Work

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

In this day and age, it is very hard to keep your colon healthy. The world we live in is full of pollution and the foods we eat are loaded with toxins. Toxins cause an unhealthy colon. An unhealthy colon is going to make you constipated or bloated, cause your stomach to bulge and will make you so tired. You could also end up with colon cancer and, I don’t know if you’ve seen anyone suffering from this disease, but it’s quite horrendous. To get your colon healthy again, you need a detox cleanser. This can take many shapes. You could try an extreme detox cleanser or a colon blow but I recommend you try less harsh methods first. The top of your priority list should be to eat detox foods. What are detox foods? There are various foods you can try but I recommend raw foods. The minute you cook your food, you lose most of its nutrients. The benefits of eating raw foods, such as carrots, are your colon’s getting a good clean out and there’s no pots or pans to wash. Also, if you’re overweight, it’s going to help you to lose weight. It is also important to drink water. A water detox will do you the world of good. I have a good friend who fasts one day per week and just drinks water. He is 80 years old and as fit as a fiddle. If this is just too hard for you to do, at least make sure that you drink enough water every day. You should drink, on average, about 2 litres of water each and every day.

Detox Skin Brushing: A Swift and Powerful Home Detox

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

The skin is the largest elimination organ, it is known to be responsible for 10 to 15 percent of total body elimination, and is sometimes referred to as the third kidney.
Dry skin brushing is a swift and powerful way to enhance the detoxification process . It’s easy, pleasant and yields tremendous benefits!
Not only does it improve the appearance of your skin by eliminating dead cells and helping new skin to regenerate, it also stimulates blood circulation, the lymphatic system, and greatly enhances toxin elimination.
In addition, the massaging effect of the bristles is known to be highly beneficial for eliminating cellulite.
Brushing the skin gently stimulates the lymphatic system and is considered to be one of the best natural lymphatic cleansers available.
The lymphatic system is composed of lymph vessels, lymph nodes, and organs. Part of the body’s defense system, the lymph nodes remove microorganisms and other foreign substances. They act as a filtration system, which keeps particulate matter, such as bacteria, from entering the bloodstream.
Stimulating the lymphatic system through skin brushing will activate all of the above functions as well as encourage blood circulation and cell regeneration. Both actions promote detoxification, weight loss and cellulite reduction, as well as improve body tone and skin radiance.
I have been regularly brushing my skin for the last 2 months, in addition to my Detox Bath, and am genuinely amazed at the benefits I am experiencing. Not to mention that I’m really flattered by the compliments I am receiving on how healthy and radiant I look! My normally dry skin seems a lot more supple, I am eliminating better, and the cellulite lumps on my thighs and hips are now less visible. . .
All you need is a NATURAL bristle brush with a long handle or a loofah. . . and 5 minutes.
I start with brushing my feet -including the soles- moving upwards to the tighs, in small circular motions.
For the upper body part, I put one arm up and brush down towards my armpit and then move to the other arm. When brushing my torso I brush towards the heart. Brushing over the top of the breast I insist on the armpit, where there’s a concentration of lymphatic nodes. I finish off with small circular brushing around the neck and shoulders, avoiding the face where the skin is sensitive.
I then brush my abdomen from the left side to the right, and go around in circles to gently massage the colon. I insist on the hips and thighs as skin brushing is an excellent treatment for cellulite.
As a general guide, it is more beneficial to brush from the extremities towards the core of the body.
Always brush gently, and especially over the sensitive areas. In time, and with practice, your skin will become more resilient and endure more vigorous brushing. It is important to avoid brushing over bruises, cuts or irritated areas.
Dry Skin Brushing benefits are numerous and include:
Accelerating toxin elimination
Stimulating blood flow and circulation
Reducing Cellulite
Enhancing lymphatic flow
Exfoliation and removal of dead skin cells
Anti-aging through cell regeneration
Stimulating both the sweat and sebaceous glands, thus contributing to the restoration of moist, supple skin.
Brushing your whole body will take around 3 to 5 minutes. Always brush the skin when it’s dry, and follow with a hot shower to wash off the dead cells.
To complete a PERFECT detox, finish up with a 10-minute cold Detox Bath.
The Detox Bath is based on an ancestral detox technique created by Louis Kuhne of Leipzig, the father of detox, in the 1880’s, and is proven to encourage toxin, waste and fat elimination. The Detox Bath’s working principle is to refresh the core area of the body (groin) during 10 minutes daily. This process creates a vibration in the fascia (interconnecting tissue covering all internal organs), which sets in motion a roll-back effect transporting waste, fat and deposited toxins back to the intestines, where they are later eliminated.
The whole procedure of skin brushing, hot shower and Detox Bath should take no more than 30 minutes, but it is far superior than any detox spa treatment you can get, and it’s free! The best part for me is that it doesn’t involve starving myself or going on harrowing detox diets.
You will soon experience a significantly better toxin elimination, rejuvenation and renewed energy, and your body and health will thank you for it!
