Getting some weight on a Bulldog mix?

I feed my bulldog mix 8 cups of Canidae food per day, four in the morning and 4 at night and I can still see his ribs somewhat. . . ? In everyother way he is a healthy dog, is there anything that I can add to his food to up the weight builder? I do not want him muscle bound, just not wanting the slender look.
I had him to the vet to check him out – he has a clean bill of health. My vet did not think too much of it cause he is an active dog, and young. Maybe I just need to wait a bit yet. Thanks

Once you’ve got a decent eating plan in place, you need to work in some cardio exercise. You should be doing a cardiovascular activity 20 minutes every day to get your heart rate up.
